We loved this little town and where we stayed close to restaurants, history of the area is amazing. all the staff friendly and helpful 😊 it’s not perfect as it is old but it’s clean and comfortable would come back thank you for our stay 💚

I asked at checkin for resources about wine tours etc., I was told to go to the town square to find out information on my own. The bathroom was extremely old and extremely small. The shower tap would not move, it was cold for the first 5 mins then scolding hot. No other options to move it. No AC No screens on windows. Not a great experience for a 3 star.

Romantic honeymoon.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel during our honeymoon, in Italy. From the moment we walked in, the service was amazing and was extremely comfortable. It is a short walk into town and very romantic. We highly recommend this hotel.

Pros: Old world ambience. Swimming Pool comfortable bed. Proximity to centre of village/town.
Cons: Perhaps a little more choice at breakfast.
Location: Castellina in Chianti delightful small town many restaurants. Florence and Sienna easily reachable..Beautiful wine growing countryside.
Chosen at random for four night stay. Could not have chosen better. Roberta, Manager, always helpful and willing.

Lovely Inn in Tuscan countryside.

We found this to be a wonderful, welcoming, place to stay, in an ancient home, within walking distance of art, museum, ruins, restaurants and more. Also quite reasonably priced.

Nice rural setting

Posted 15 Jul 2016
Pros: Very quiet, included a pool
Cons: The cobwebs on the chairs in the breakfast area outside could have been cleaned up.
Location: Good shopping and places to eat.
We stayed here because we wanted to be in a rural setting and close to town and both were accommodated . The town was gorgeous, lots of nice places to eat and shop. Castellina in Chianti is a place you don't want to miss.

Great stay in chianti

Great stay in Chianti. Village is full of surprises. Lots of hikers and cyclists around. Hills a bit steeper here for cycling. Fabulous breakfast.

Very nice historic hotel in a beautiful village

Posted 12 Oct 2015
Location: Nice restaurants, great castle/museum, Etruscan ruins and of course lots of vineyards and wine shops.
The hotel is in a very old stone structure just at the edge of Castellina, which is a small but very beautiful village located at the top of one of the highest mountains in Chianti. Don't expect a lot of big-city attractions, but if you like good food, good views, nice people and a very nice room, this is a great place.
