We booked a Queen room with city view and ensuite
On arrival, we checked in and was told, we had been upgraded
We asked for a reservation for dinner, to be informed their restrauant was closed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday !
This was not stated on booking
Room had a double bed, not Queen
Had sky light and industrial view if opened the window, no window with city view
Were informed a large party were arriving on Saturday night and wanted rooms next to each other
Lack of hot food left for breakfast, we went dor breakfast at 08:45
Shower and wc open plan to bedroom !

Posted 2 Feb 2022 on HotelsVery helpful staff, breakfast was good but expensive, rooms cold as heating turned off and very noisy. Seemingly there is little insulation in the walls and the doors shake whenever anyone on the corridor enters/leaves meaning very little sleep.

Good Location, but no restaurant at weekends
Posted 26 Sep 2019 on HotelsWe were visiting Oignies and chose this hotel primarily for its location, but overall were pleased with the accomodation. The meal in the restaurant on Thursday night was excellent, but they don't do evenining meals Friday-Sunday which was a bit of a problem as there are few local restaurants, although the staff were very helpful giving suggestions they could only come up with three! Breakfast was good but a bit expensive at 12 Euros - there is an excellent bakery next door though if you want to do-it-yourself.

Conveniently located off the autoroute. I will say this: I emailed via their own website asking for a reservation at their restaurant. (months in advance) When I showed up at 21h, they tell me that the restaurant is closed 5 days a week, including the weekends. This was a little perplexing and very irritating as eating past 9 in France is...not easy.

I apologize for the problem you have encountered. Our restaurant is closed Friday dinner, Saturday lunch and dinner and Sunday lunch and dinner. The restaurant is open every other day of the week.

Good overall service.
Restaurant was good and service was quick.
No elevator, travel light.
Don’t get caught with morning and evening traffic by the hotel.

Not great start. Turned out very good.
Posted 8 Aug 2018 on HotelsArrived after long day driving, extremely hot day tired and hungry. Booked because they had restuarant on site. Upon arrival told no air conditioning, no fan in room,room on thitd floor, no lift. Restuarant closed as all staff on holidays in August. I was not happy but the guy on the counter was happy to cancel my reservation or give me a discount. I didnt want to drive any further so stayed, he reduced the cost of our room and included a very nice breakfast. Gave us a rear room so the windows could be open and was quiet. Very happy in the end as slept well and owner couldn't apologize more.
