Pleasant stay.
Posted 29 Aug 2017 on HotelsIt was a nice hotel, small but clean but it has an amazing view to some of the main attractions in Cartagena. The breakfast was delicious.

Glad we stayed here! Beutoful, ideally located
Posted 4 May 2017Great staff, made our stay a lot better. Next to a lovely park, you can have breakfast right in the park.
Building is old - as every building in the area, but well maintained.

Great location!
Posted 22 Mar 2017 on HotelsGreat location with plenty of good restaurants and bars in the same place. Walking distance to everything. The staff was attentive and helped out when needed.

Pros: Location
... having said that, the hotel is right on an active plaza - so bring earplugs. (That's true of everything in this area!)

Superb location

Pros: Beautiful square, spacious room
Cons: Noisy neigbhours could be shut down
Location: Get up at sun rise and walk around while its quiet and cool, Sunday is particularly good. Avoid the hideous Playa Blanca and the "Islas"
Breathtakingly beautiful location on a lovely square (and I had a room with views over it) in the heart of Cartagena. Only downside was 2 noisy neigbours (bars which insisted on playing loud music from mid day to after midnight), so while this was a lovely place to wake up and be in the morning, it was not somewhere for an afternoon nap or an early night.

Rude people, convenient location
Posted 16 Jan 2017 on HotelsThe people at Hotel Boutique Diego de Alcala are absolutely as rude and unpleasant as it gets. We had a late addition to the trip and even though there was plenty of space in the room, they treated us like we were criminals and charged us an extra $200 for that person. The hotel itself is OK- the room was clean and spacious, but there are is no pool and the people are rude. I think you can find better options in Cartagena. Being in the walled city is nice, but there are definitely better options with more amenities and less rudeness.

Excellent location in walled historic district.
Posted 17 Dec 2016 on OrbitzPerfect location to explore the colonial historic district. The hotel's Cafe de Artistas offers good food and drinks. The staff is very friendly and they are always making sure your stay is going well. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I visited Cartagena with my family and I'll stay here again.
