Where to stay in Carrollton

On a visit to the city, I looked up the downtown area in Carrollton because that's where our hotel was. I was not disappointed to find this "small town" kind of downtown with antiques and specialty shops. It was a beautiful addition to our trip.

Southwest Carrollton

While Southwest Carrollton isn't home to many top sights, Galleria Dallas and Prestonwood Baptist Church are some notable places to visit nearby.

Original Town

While you're in Original Town, take in top sights like Blooms Candy & Soda Pop Shop and jump on the metro at Downtown Carrollton Station to see more of the city.

We goggled ethnic restaurants and chose this one. When we arrived we noticed it was 1/2 restaurant, 1/2 spa. We were not sure but at first but the experience was good and the good was delicious. Big servings. We even leaned Russian. #restaurant

Northeast Carrollton

While Northeast Carrollton might not have many sights to explore, venturing just a little farther will lead you to top things to see and do like Prestonwood Baptist Church and Crayola Experience.

This place was packed when we arrived and had amazing reviews so it seemed promising. I’m sad to say the coffee was bad, which they were nice enough to take off the bill. The hollandaise sauce was tasteless and apparently not even made fresh which we found out about after the fact. The kids did enjoy their pancakes!

North Central Carrollton

North Central Carrollton might not have many top sights, but The Lakes at Castle Hills and Prestonwood Baptist Church are two attractions nearby that you can check out.
