After days of driving and staying in motels Corynnia Station was lovely and relaxing. Afternoon tea and breakfast lovely. Walking around the garden, talking to host and others around the fire was a bonus.
We would like to go back for an extended stay.

A wonderful experience. The homestead and gardens are stunning and the cottage accommodation was unique, delightful and comfortable. People working there are extremely friendly and helpful and sharing a glass of wine around the campfire with other guests was a very pleasant experience.

Peter thank you for sharing your ‘wonderful experience’ with us and other travellers. it is a joy to share our home on our busy working station with our guests. Those who choose to venture a little off the highways and experience rural Australia will be so glad they did. Every season is so different and we hope to welcome your return one day in the future.

LOVELY OASIS
Posted 20 Jan 2019 on HotelsThe outback homestead was great but communication before actual arrival proved difficult under very hot conditions (46 C).

We certainly do share an amazing part of Outback Australia with our guests so thank you for overnighting with us, Pasqualina.
It is certainly a land of harsh beauty and challenges which are in stark contrast to our homestead garden oasis, homestead and farmstay developed over 37 years.
Our property is a very busy, large, working outback farm and we advise our guests by email, that we are not contactable 24/7. Also, mobile coverage is poor to non-existent in many areas of Australia so cannot be relied upon.
Our accommodation is extremely comfortable, stylish and authentic with attention to detail and air-conditioning for the comfort of our guests.
Summer is always hot in the outback but this summer we have experienced more prolonged and intense heat along with the crippling drought, no rain for many months, devastating dust storms and lack of water resulting in domestic water having to be trucked in at great cost....but still we welcome our guests for a real, interesting and memorable outback experience.
As most of our guests are from the city or overseas, every guest receives TWO Important Guest Information emails. This information is detailed for ease of travel and for the security of our property and includes that 'all farm gates are to be left as found and to NEVER LEAVE CLOSED GATES OPEN under any circumstances'. This can cost the farmer tens of thousands of dollars and days of additional work. It would be the same as us leaving a front door open in a city home....only so much worse as the farm is our livelihood and the repercussions are uninsurable.

Thank you for sharing our Outback Escape with, as you say, nothing nearby other than friendly hosts, helpers and animals but lots of peace and quiet and an incredible 360 degree landscape on our busy working sheep and cotton station!
We are so thrilled you enjoyed your visit and thank you for sharing your feedback and your most generous rating. We hope you return to us in the future.
For readers planning to visit and concerned about internet, Wotif don't allow us to be specific on our Wotif profile. We do have signal available to guests via our private Telstra booster -using guests own device and data. Telecommunication in the bush is an ongoing and frustrating issue for those who live here. It is much more expensive and less accessible in comparison to what is available in large towns and cities.
Our suggestion is to forget about the internet for the duration of your stay, if possible, and enjoy 'being' in our incredible part of the world with us.....but there is access if required, as described.

Thank you for staying with us and for taking the time to share your experience, Damien!
We are so pleased you enjoyed Corynnia Station as much as we enjoy sharing our very special part of Outback Australia with enthusiastic guests such as yourselves.
Mick and Mac certainly are our ‘Nomad Angels’ and we know they would have looked after you wonderfully well in our absence.
We hope to personally welcome you another time.

We booked through Last Minute, we were not told that there was no internet, no TV. We tried calling them earlier in the day and left 2 messages but no-one got back to us. We arrived at 6pm, there was no tea making facilities in the room. This was very disappointing.

These guests did not read either of the concise info emails that were sent on the day of booking and three days prior which provides all the info Lastminute.com doesn’t allow for on their site. They did not check our location on the map provided by Lastminute.com so thought they were staying in a motel room in town.
I was out of range and had a message on my phone to call another number in my absence but they did not.
The guests arrived without any food and had not ordered dinner hampers (they had received all that info) but we provided them with cheese on toast to help out.
Tea and a fresh coffee machine as well as full kitchen facilities is in the shared Cook House three steps from their door.
We understand that a five star guest rated outback farmstay is not everyone’s cup of tea and are sorry these guests arrived too late to enjoy Corynnia Station.

Something different
Posted 21 Apr 2018 on WotifA good alternative to standard accommodation around Hay provided you’re willing to deviate from the beaten track somewhat.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your much appreciated feedback.
Our guests concur with you that Corynnia is so much more than a motel room - an experience as well as offering a number of authentic accommodation options for all budgets from beautiful, historic private cottage to budget rooms in our new shared lodge.
Our guests certainly usually find the deviation to experience Corynnia Station most worthwhile, being not far off the main Sturt and Mid Western Highways and halfway between Adelaide and Sydney.
Our suggestion would be to stay for more than one night, as recommended by our guests, or schedule to arrive early enough to enjoy our amazing historic working property, garden oasis set within such a harsh, open landscape on the edge of the great Hay Plains with incredible skies, campfires, tennis court, pool, pushbikes, friendly hosts........the list goes on!
