Where to start,
I stayed for 7 nights,
First 4 nights no cleaning was done other than trash emptied, bed was not touched until the last two days.
In the Middle of my stay I got back from work and the parking lot was roped off without notice and I called the office and they said find parking and hung up on me, I had to park on the street two blocks away and walk in the middle of the night in 45 degree weather which I was not prepared for.
It was very cold at night and there was no heat and a very thin blanket so I went to Target to buy a heater.
Microwave was very dirty as was the fridge.
Free WiFi was horrible and rarely worked and when it did it was 1mbs. Phone reception was also non existent with T-Mobile while on the property.

The property needs to be renovated very dated. Also, they had a crew of people at 7 AM in the morning running machines working on the parking lot. So I did not get much sleep…

Sorry for grammar - 1,500 char limit
Return to motel, noticed my room door was ajar & window blinds were open. Closed/locked when I left. Then noticed my unopened food & drink items gone from fridge. Open items still there.
Explained to office guy, asked hm to take look, but unwilling, rude & grumpy. Provided list of taken items & my mobile #. Told hm I had photos of rm, showing that housekeeping had clearly svc'd the rm (new towels, bathmat hung, etc.). Said he would pass to mgmt but I never got a call.
When chk'g in, noticed rm door was difficult to open & had to pull hard to lock it. My guess is housekeeping left door ajar when servicing rm. Then someone entered to take items.
Also, while out for walk on 1st day, noted several men milling around area. Asked one guy in park'g lot for directions to beach. Nice guy. Told me was living in vacant property next to the motel using CA homeless vouchers. Hope he was not guy who took the items, but clearly people casing the joint looking for opportunities.
I booked 3 nights. After experience, told office guy was checking out and to please refund nights 2&3. Also, reimburse $35 for taken items. Never heard back.
Later messaged motel via Expedia Msg'ing, providing all info above. Never heard back. That was 2-1/2 wks ago.
Contacted Expedia, providing all info and photos. They contacted motel, but Scandia refused to refund for 2 unused nights or reimburse $35. So posting information as an Expedia review so others can be aware.

Sir, you have been out drunk all day and you have misunderstood two separate days reservation where you had items with you on first reservation and two day after you came for check-in again full drunk and talking other hotel how bad they were but seems you put reviews on wrong hotel reservation. but anyway please take car, god bless you .

They were incredibly rude and scammy. Didn’t return full $100 deposit and when I called they said they charge a processing fee if you use credit or debit card. Nothing wrong with the way we left the room at all. The guy also kept threatening to charge me more because my friend dropping me off had a dog in the car. I told him the dog was not staying in the room. Basically, just be weary and know they keep $8 of your security deposit for no reason unless you pay cash oven though we booked and paid through Expedia. The room was okay, what you’d expect of a super cheap motel.

THE DEPOSIT POLICY HAS BEEN POSTED ON CHECKIN LOBBY SO PLEASE DONT BLAME ON STAFF IF YOU DID NOT READ THROUGH. AND WE CHARGE PET FEES FOR EVEN A MOMNENT THEY STEPS IN THE ROOM SO NOTHING WRONG IT IT EITHER.

Train beside property, one stay one night did not like sheets and train noise every 1/2 hour

The owners always make staying here very pleasant, I have nothing to complain about and you definitely can't beat the price especially with it being in the Village.
