We chosen this spot as a 2 night stay so we could visit Carlsbad Caverns. What a great location. Short drive to the park. As for the amenities everything was top notch for an older building....and so so clean. I dontoften tip the cleaning staff byt I did this time. Leo at the front desk was amazing and helpful. We needed supplies for our road tri and Walmart was right next door and walkable. Diner two nights in a row at the Chinese Buffet 5 min walk. Was.a.little sad that the hot tub was out of order but thesethings happen. Breakfast at hotel amazing both days. They also put out cookies at night. Coffee always seemed to be on and hot.

Had a nice overnight stay with the family. Staff was nice and the hotel was clean. Will definitely be staying there again.

We stayed here for two nights and were very disappointed in our stay.
The AC was on constantly the whole time we stayed here, but even then it would get up to 75 in the room and the lowest we could ever get it was 73. We had a hard time sleeping well since we were so warm.
The water temperature in the shower was only one temperature. VERY hot. It was extremely uncomfortable to shower. There were no working vents in the bathroom, and mold along the caulking all in the shower.
We also noticed the mini fridge we were counting on to save our leftovers was not keeping anything cool, let alone cold.
The pool was freezing cold and pretty worn down. The bottom of the pool scratched up our feet a lot.
One positive is we did have relatively good experiences with the staff as they were kind to us in our interactions.
