Overall great place. The restaurant and bar were fantastic. The room was quite nice, but old - the carpet needs replacement, the walls need scrubbing and that bathtub is NOT safe for anyone with any mobility issues at all, or even just for short or elderly people. And the linoleum was coming up. But great for a short stay.

Difficult for hotel with major work going on in street outside. Hotel room very dated. No walk-in shower. Shower in bath doesn’t work for me. Still very good value for price paid.

The room was tiny and the sash windows rattled in the wind. We had to wedge them with paper. The pool was closed for maintenance. We were not advised of this in advance.

A wee overnight stay in the Borders , Carlisle is a lovely place to wander round the historic buildings and charity shops and a few antique ones too.
Not to mention the pubs and restaurants all within easy access from the Crown and Mitre.
Lovey old hotel which is going through a wee clean and repair at the moment.Which ment the swimming pool was closed .But in all, a lovely hotel and the staff were all fantastic knowledgeable and professional.

Really nice hotel,grest central location,the staff were all amazing, only thing missing were bed sideights in the bedroom but shall defiantly stay in the hotel again

4th stay at this hotel, ideal position right in the middle of everything. Will be back for our 5th visit very soon.
