The property location is fantastic, it's a lovely walk into the city and at the right end of the city for eating etc. The property is spacious and well laid out and you get a lot of amenities.
However we walked into the property and there were dirty towels on the floor, the beds were twins put together when it was advertised as a double and it was incredibly uncomfortable. The shower tray didn't drain making it extremely difficult to have a shower, we complained about this via email and whatsapp and the only response was on the sunday 15 minuets check out on the Sunday. They do say no one mans reception on the weekend which is fine, but the correspondence does say emails and whatsapp will be monitored.
The parking, there are 7 spaces we were in space 7. This was without a doubt the most difficult car park I have ever had to navigate. It's so tight its a joke the only way we could get in our space was due to thankfully no one being in space 5 and 6. If I didn't use these spaces I would not have been able to get in at all.

Your positive remarks about our amenities are also much appreciated. I do apologize about the towels being left on the floor. By way of explanation, our team was sorting through the used linen/towels and preparing for the next day- we will be more careful next time. All of our beds are zip and link to ensure our guests have an option to split when visiting with friends/family members and so on. However, we do use mattress toppers to ensure the comfort of all- I do apologize if you found it insufficient. Moreover, I am very sorry about the shower and the lack of communication. Our What's App messages and emails are being closely monitored within office hours while after 5pm and over the weekend you have to call our emergency phone line for any urgent issues as per the email sent prior to arrival. Lastly, we have 10 parking spaces on site and they are of standard British size. I am very sorry about the problems you have encountered though. Can't give a full review as although we booked in May, our booking was cancelled by The Spires the day before. We were provided with alternative accommodation which we hhad no real choice to take due to thr short notice. This was very nice but a lot smaller and was a room only - not the apartment services we had originally booked. It is my guess is that the hotel, realising that there was international cricket on, found they could make more money from the room, so cancelled our booking.

What a beautiful place to stay, the hotel and the town is wonderful. The only thing that disappointed us is we were not staying longer. Our check in was smooth and the gentleman was very pleasant. It is nice and close to lots of shops, food, and local talents. A great experience

Excellent apartment
Posted 12 Sep 2024 on HotelsMy apartment was perfect. Comfy bed, great shower, plenty of space. Everything you could need including iron, coffee, tea etc. Only a 10 minute walk into the city centre. I will definitely stay here again
Only two things meant this wasn't a 5 star review. Hotels.com did not advise that the car park had to be booked separately. And the communal areas didn't smell very nice.
