Nice place and host. Breakfast left a lot to be desired, there was an open loaf of bread I. The bread bin for toast which I wasn’t going to use! Location wise there was not much around walking was limited as it was dark and you have to walk through lanes with fast running traffic so I couldn’t walk like I thought I would be able to.

Sorry to hear that you did not find your stay as enjoyable as expected. Complimentary bread, crumpets, cereals and fruit as well as tea and coffee were provided for your breakfast. There are a number of footpaths available to walk in the area but as you will appreciate, we are in a rural location with limited lighting to walk after dark.

The history of the building is fascinating. A 17th C building made from stones of the nearby ruins, Penmark Castle.
Terrific hosts and kind folks at the pub next door.

Wish we could have stayed longer! Such a great experience to stay at the Old Barn and walk around the neighborhood. Loved the pub next door and our too-short visit. Recommend.
