Not much we didn't like. Handy to trains ( our preferred method of transport), to Cardiff central, and easy to get in and out. Lifts are confusing and can leave before you get to the door. Dining room very good, commend the chef. And the more than adequate room had a bath! A rarity in hotels these days but very welcome. We've never stayed in a bad Mercure, that remains the case.

The hotel was very freshly decorated, with some lovely but not excessive amounts of Xmas decs. The room was generously sized, warm and had everything we needed. However on the second day no room service happened, so we had to ask for the minimum of towels and tea tray top up. Staff were all very pleasant and breakfast was very good too. All in all a very good, reasonably priced place to stay.

Reception staff and parking good, room terrible. Shower was cold and sink blocked. Tv had 3 working channels, room was like an oven and would not cool down. Lifts noisy next to the room. Will stay in the easy hotel next door in future.

very spacious room and bathroom. Comfortable pillows and good quality decor/fittings. Didn't use the bar or restaurant so can't comment there. Staff friendly.

Room wasnt cleaned properly, The bins wasnt emptied, it was cold in room we had 2 little plug in heaters, the kettle didnt work
