Good quality hotel, room warm and comfortable. Lovely breakfast and very friendly and helpful breakfast staff.

The gym wasn’t as advertised and had no cardio machines in at all. The bathroom absolutely stank of dirty drains.

Thank you Krista for your comments following your stay. The 'Cardio Gym 'is next to the changing facilities with a large sign above the door, I am sorry you missed this. Apologies for any bad odour in the bathroom, this is not the standard of cleanliness we strive towards.

Check in was a poor experience - ignored until the staff member completed her task on the computer and then there seemed to be some communication/language barriers?. Paying £10 for parking was another negative. Positives- Rooms were clean and spacious and quiet

My reservation was not accepted initially. Dirty glasses outside our room. Room smelled of cigarettes.

About a 15 minute walk to the stadium and a 10 minute walk to the centre itself. The hotel is your standard big chain affair. The restaurant was nice and reasonably priced. The room was very clean and spacious though there was a strong smell of bleach when we entered, which I guess shows that it was clean. The main issue was the lack of hot water in the morning and the fact the staff did nothing about it apart from directing me to Expedia. Expedia were then saying they couldn’t get the hotel to engage with them about the issue. Lesson learnt, don’t stay at Novotel in the future.

I had a great family leisure trip while staying in Novotel Cardiff. The location is easy to access the center
