Our room was in terrible shape. The ceiling leaked. There was black mold. The hair dryer and lamps shorted out. The doors to the rooms did not close properly and were very loud. This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in

Bottled beer not included at any bar, and premium drinks only at the lobby bar. Lobster not included at any restaurant!

I was given a room that was situated in the basement. Main light bulb for the room was not working. The patio door had no security and it was needed of repair. The safe was not working so I could not restore my passport and money. Contacted the front desk and asked to change the room, but they wanted to charge me a additional $25 a day per couple. The buffet and that was another surprise. The food was nothing too crazy about and did not have that many selection and the selection that was available was quite simple and 80% the same everyday. Shows are boring and only dancing. That evening, I received a link from Expedia to comment on my check-in and I selected a unhappy face. The next morning, we got a message to go to the front desk where I spoke to another lady who gave us another room to change after seeing my check-in . It was a better version of room which everything was fine but again the safe was not working. Two days followed, there was a Celebration day called Cuba Day, where the staff was friendlier and the food was actually better but still the same and boring and you know why? because it was the day of commentary. I find the Hotel goes out of its way to manipulate guests in thinking that the hotel is good but for the price, go elsewhere. Limited alcohol selection, just local rum and liquor. No gym, repairs everywhere, water leaking in several bathrooms. This hotel is OLD. Slept very badly and mostly russian guests(probably unaware of better hotel). Be warned.
