"While the place is handsome and well kept, there are serious issues that I encountered that were reported here by others. The two most prominent were that the choice of rooms I was given was either a room with a door that opens strainght into the dining room, or a room with a bath ONLY (= no showerhead... in 2020...). My complaint resulted in the owner explaining to me this the room EXPEDIA assigned to me.... on my second night I moved to a room which was separate from its bathroom, not a great...

The staff was extremely kind, helpful and efficient and friendly and welcoming -they even sent out for glue and repaired my earing for the function I needed to attend! The room was spacious and very well equipped, very clean and luxurious combined with an old Cape atmosphere with carefully selected antiques. Well done and thank you!!"

"This is a great self catering apartment. Its 5 minutes walk from the main street in Franschhoek, set in a quiet residential area. Our host, Brian, had taken the trouble to recommend a local restaurant and even booked us a table where we could enjoy the magnificent sunset overlooking the valley. He has also done some enviable research into the local vineyards, restaurants, etc, and left his personal guide in our apartment for us to look through.
