The service at reception is terrible- you call them from the room they never pick up - the family suites are extremely small for 4 people and at a cost of over 4000 very expensive- bar staff are very good - did one set of laundry was 1300 for a few items - complete rip off - we do whole bag for 400 in the laundry in the strand - completely over priced- your spa is also completely over priced at nearly 1000 for nails ? It’s 500 in joburg ?

The property is old! Needs new furniture. Staff is nice and polite, especially the restaurants. The food was excellent, although choice is limited. The travel desk is money hungry. They want to charge R280 for the same adapter for around R50 in the U.S. And most hotels don’t demand that you buy the adapter, either. They charge a trip for $10.0 US that Uber charged around $7.00 US. In addition, one needs a reservation in advance.

Property was okay but the AC doesn’t work and you will sweat all night. Despite asking for it to be fixed multiple times. We left early because we could not deal with the heat and humidity in the rooms.

Beautiful property! Although there was a bit of construction taking place within the hotel, it did not impede my stay in the least. Would highly recommend this hotel.to.anyone traveling to Cape Town
