Nice place to stay for the temples
Posted 7 Jul 2014
Pros: It was quiet, and cool ,and had generally helpful staff
Cons: Getting some details about local taxi firms!
Location: Amazing archaic Greek temples, archaeological museum (with painted tombs) ancient Christian church, good long sandy beaches
We stayed here a couple of nights - for a nearby wedding - the hotel itself is a pre-WW1 farmhouse, a very nice square stone affair with tiled floors - which is very sensible in the heat. There is no air conditioning in the old building. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Not much English, but the owner spoke very good French. The breakfast is croissant and coffee, pretty basic, adn when we asked if he could arrange a taxi for uis, he didn't have any details - which was the first tiem I've every heard of a hotel not knowing about taxis (we sorted one out ourselve slater on) So that for me was a big miss. But I suspect most guests will use their cars. We wanted a cab back at night after the wedding party on the beach nearby. Despite this, we'd stay here again ..

Excellent location
Posted 3 Jun 2014 on HotelsLovely old building located near to interesting sites (heard of Paestum? Take a look), close sandy beach, lots of places to eat as well as good restaurant on site. Spotlessly clean, room changed every day. Only thing missing - a kettle in the room for a cuppa!

Pestum ruins
Posted 7 Apr 2010If you plan to go to Paestum to see the Ruins there, plan to know some Italian.
This area is remote and we didn't know any Italian to get along. The ruins are worth the long drive as well as the beautiful country side in transit.
The ruins in Paestum are like going to Athens, and seeing Greek antiquities.

Pessimo rapporto qualita' prezzo. Breakfast molto povero. Sconsigliabile d'inverno. Probabile meglio durante la stagione estiva.
