I love everything about the place and definitely i will stay again, but there was a strange smell coming out from the toilet that needs to be check.

The apartment was dirty, a lot of dust and mold. The bed sheets were yellow and stained; Bathroom was rusty and moldy too, not to mention that while my husband was taking a shower a cockroach flew on his head from the shower roof. Also, THIS IS NOT part of the hotel, this is a private apartment that somebody is renting and they just told us that at the moment we checked inn so you don’t have any benefits from the hotel that is Ancora not Fishing Lodge (the front desk couldn’t even provide us for the pool). Breakfast is BAD and unsanitary, flies in the food, no AC and they charge you like a high end hotel and they are not.

There was no reception to contact which the Fishing Lodge advertises on Expedia. We left calls and emails as did Expedia to no avail. We did not have wifi which is also what it advertised as included amenities. We did not have a sea view either! The hotel Ancora were a little helpful but they have nothing to do woth the Fishing Lodge. They should not be allowed to advertise on Expedia as their advertising falsley and also can not be contacted. Extremely unhappy and disappointed as this is the first time I have booked accommodation with Expedia! I will not be doing so again!

When I got to the room I was very disappointed to see that there were many things broken and the smell was very unpleasant. The furniture is all dirty, the sofabed is broken and the tv is not working properly. The a/c went off before noon. The Place is not up to par with Cap Cana and the experience we have had in the past.

The only problem was, I was charged $35.00 for some rice and beans, no meat and the price was not posted.
