THE POOL IS CLOSED. The only reason we choose this hotel and the pool is closed. Our room was fine, everything worked except the fan (air conditioning) did nothing. It was unbelievably hot, hot, hot. Kept both windows open - even all night - which was very noisy. You can hear all the trains, station announcements and traffic. It's November, and we were so hot, we slept ontop of the sheets as our room was like a sauna. It's a lovely hotel and nicely decorated.

Our stay at this hotel was saved only by the location and breakfast. The location is excellently placed right behind the train station in the central Cannes. The hotel was clean, and the breakfast buffet was small but had varied choice (mostly continental with a small amount of hot food).
However, we only found out the spa is closed indefinitely when at the hotel, and also found out that despite nil warning on their website the pool was also closed.
This should not be advertised as a spa hotel and the pool seasonal availability dates should be clearly advertised.
We did receive small amount for compensation for these disappointments but would only recommend this hotel if you are not planning on staying in the hotel much.

I stayed at the hotel for around 8 nights and I had an amazing stay there. The staff are all very friendly, and professional and they make you feel at home. The location of the hotel is very convenient. The train station is 2 minutes walk and the centre of the town and La Croisette are just over five minutes. The view of the hills from the rooftop pool is amazing. My special thanks to the manager of the hotel Arnaud and Lucas who made my stay exceptionally pleasant. Merci beaucoup les gars! I would stay in the Western Best Plus when I visit Cannes again.

Have stayed here a few times over the years and always look to return due to the combination of great value with great staff and super convenient location and the roof top pool
