Really amazing hospitality from all the staff, so friendly and helpful. Big traditional rooms with fun outdoor bathroom surrounded by goldfish was a pleasure. Plus the complimentary breakfast was amazing, couldn’t get enough of it!

Had a wonderful stay here. The Dedari suite was even better than expected with the outdoor pool and semi-outdoor bathroom. Everyone was extremely polite and helpful throughout the whole stay. Highly recommend if you are ever visiting Canggu.

This hotel property is nothing like you’ve ever seen! It’s like Heaven on Earth - truly the most amazing place - especially on the pool grounds! Service, food, drink and rooms top notch too. Do try! I promise you will be obsessed with the escape and attention to detail and nature honored. We did white water rafting nearby and that was a great coordinating activity!

This is a fabulous’old style’ hotel spread over several acres. Nice pool area and the lobby is gorgeous in itself. The bathrooms have to be seen to be believed. A must do is dinner on the roof overlooking the sunset

Superb hotel
Possibly the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The room and our private pool was ideal and the service from the staff was incredible .loved afternoon tea and the sushi at Ji restaurant on the rooftop was gorgeous. Breakfast in the lotus garden was another highlight also Lovely views at breakfast watching the surfers from the rooftop Ji restaurant Would love to go back.

Hotel Tugu was an amazing introduction to our stay in Bali. The room with both the private pool and outdoor shower were serene. Traditional Bali artwork took you back in time. Staff was welcoming and charming. This hotel was a world away amidst the bustling part of Canggu.

I’m so torn on my review of this property. The staff was so lovely. It is so very close to the beach, and shops. But, I chose this hotel based on other reviews about how it is a sanctuary in the middle of Canggu. I could not disagree more. Fireworks going off right outside my villa every night. Loud nonstop music from the beach clubs every night. This is not the fault of the hotel, I’m just shocked that other guests left reviews about the serenity of the hotel, when it is not that. If I was 20 years younger, it would have been great. The villa is large, and breakfast is beyond awesome, the staff is so sweet. The spa was not my favorite, but it was just ok. The bathtub could have been much cleaner, but the room was spotless. I loved the fish in the entrance to my room. The dances they had one evening in the lobby was wonderful. For sure a mixed bag here for me.

Hotel Tugu exceed our expectations in every way. It was perfect. The staff was top notch. The service was excellent. Room was amazing and the hotel was one of a kind. Grounds were beautiful. Food was delicious. We truly hated to leave. If you have the opportunity to stay here, do it and you won’t regret it. Sending love to the staff for a perfect visit.

This was one of the most interesting places we've stayed at. There were all kinds of amazing little rooms and corners in the hotel. Some things needed uodating like plumbing but it was an extremely beautiful Balinese style hotel. The food was also delicious! The Japanese food on the stunning rooftop terrace was delicious as well as the Balinese restaurant downstairs. The biggest feature of the hotel are the outstanding staff! They were the most gentle, kind and helpful team we've ever encountered. We hope they are compensated in accordance to their priceless value as staff. Thank you again for making our stay so very special.

Property has a real and significant problem with noise pollution from nearby bar/nightclubs. Old and tired, badly needs a refurbishment. Extremely poor value for money.

Great hotel with super nice staff
Great hotel and wonderful staff. This is not a hotel in modern style but more of classic Bali historic decor and setting. The staff is wonderful and the food great. There is some catch up to do with maintenance after the Covid-years but that is expected for all places where there have been lockdowns. Some wear and tear to fix and for example the mattresses at the pool need to be changed. I give all hotels in these places about 12-15 months to catch up. The hotel is located near the beach and the beach bars. It´s noisy with music playing but they normally stop around midnight so I was not bothered for my sleep. The breakfast is á la cart which is in one way nice and sustainable but I missed to have a buffet to linger around and pick from. But the food you can choose from is very nice and tasty. The SPA is also very nice and give great massages. The speed of the Wifi was merely ok, would have appreciated faster speed. The Japanese restaurant was great, tasty food but it happened that the main come before the starter. Many nice restaurants in the area. This hotel's biggest asset is the staff. They are very service minded, nice, remember your name and room, always a smile on their faces. A hotel I warmly recommend.
