After spending a night in a budget hotel down in Kuta, I decided to get away and relax in a comfortable villa for a few nights. I spotted this place, and seeing that it had no reviews, I decided to give it a go anyway seeing as villas at this price in Bali are usually excellent. According to the description listed on Expedia, the villa boasted free wifi, a comfortable bathroom with a shower/tub combo, and 24 hour accessibility.
Upon arrival I was greeted by the hotel staff, who, unfortunately, could not speak any English. After being shown to my room, I decided to use the bathroom, which to my shock was mouldy and extremely poorly built. The shower/tub Combo I had been looking forward to wasn't there, only the stench of fresh mould and a mediocre showerhead spraying onto an uneven floor that never properly drains. I decided I could overlook this, and went to ask for the wifi password. Upon doing so, I was told that there is in fact no wifi available. After a day's exploring, I spent a few hours watching TV and reading, planning to enjoy a moonlit ride at around 10pm. Upon going down to where my bike was parked, I found the gate to be padlocked shut with no staff in site, ruining my plan. Overall, I felt robbed by the experience. I paid the same as I have paid for many other excellent villas in Bali, and this place was worse than a budget hotel in Kuta. Much worse.
