Tasteful architecture and layout in a lovely scenic setting good facilities, good restaurant which is just as well as there’s only one other option down the hill which is a slightly pretentious eco outfit . Unusually mini bar contents are free

The hotel is very nice with a beautiful landscape, very nice rooms and they have full breakfast although in the description they said continental breakfast

Beautiful setting, very nice rooms. Breakfasts were sufficent; nothing to really complain about. However, the food served at dinner time was outstandingly terrible. Meat selections arrived at the table swimming in grease; the cooks tried to rescue the food by including an absorbent "tortilla" or potato underneath. Avoid taking meals at this hotel.

It's a Cuban government owned hotel, so expectations are moderate. However, compared to other government hotels, the Moka is one of the better. It's funky, but and in an amazing area and worth the stay.

An oasis in an area of absolute beauty

Pros: Peaceful and tranquil. The little shabbiness round the edges added to its charm. Great setting, great views. Sad but true, it had wifi !
Cons: Some maintenance wouldn't go amiss (room roof leaked in torrential downpour but didn't spoil the stay!). Pool very busy at weekend with day visitors.
Location: Walk to the village and see the artists studios. Immerse in Cuban day tripping at San Jan banos! Eat at El Romero for the best vegetarian food ever!
Loved this place. A peaceful respite following a manic tour of Cuba. The lower temperature and breeze were a welcome relief. Great place to relax and chill. Reception staff were incredibly helpful (helped my friend find a casa in the village - book before you go as much cheaper than on arrival!)
