The family room is great for a family of 4 - spacious and clean. Reception staff at Sebel Civic need to ensure they give their guests accurate information about the offsite parking options as this wasn't the case in our situation.

Good spot in Canberra City Centre. Close to cafes and restaurants and the Canberra Centre. Only parking for the hotel is off site in a basement car park which is a bit of a nuisance but at least it’s safe. Staff were great and the room was well fitted and modern.

There is no parking. So an extra $22 adds to the cost. There was nobody at reception when we arrived and no means bell or buzzer. Finally we called out and a girl wandered out with no apology. So we are unlikely to stay there again.

Great property at a great price. Sadly had a housekeeping issue where the pillows had no pillow slips on the bed and were covered in hair. Requested the pillows be fixed and came back to find the pillows had simply been thrown in the wardrobe. Night staff got replacements but bit disappointing. Other than that rooms and facilities are great. Will stay again

Receptionists were terrible. No greeting, did not give me the breakfast voucher until I found out that my deal included breakfast. We told the hotel that a pet dog will be coming but no pet bed or bowl were provided. Inside all elevator there was rubbish. Not sure how this hotel is getting positive feedbacks. The only good thing is probably that it is close to the Canberra Centre.

We were surprised to see guests with dogs! We didn't realise there were such hotels available for pet owners! We guess, hopefully, there are special rooms set aside for these guests!! It didn't impact on our visit in any way, which was very enjoyable. Only problem was our phone was not connected to Reception when we needed it to be.

The room is dangerous as the bathroom is raised with a dangerous rise. This included a raised a sharp piece of metal above the concrete step. I fell and cut my foot badly. Reception were a disgrace blaming me for the fall at 2.30pm. He advised that in 7 years & thousands of guest, I was the first. My colleague arrived the next day & the same happened to him. This is concerning for mothers holding a baby or the elderly. I damaged my hip also in the fall. I asked for fresh towels & a plastic bag for the blood covered towels & reception told me to throw the bloodied towels into the hall, which I refused based on concerns for others hygiene. I begged for some disinfectant & some band aids. This was met with a very rude reply. It is a shame as the hotel itself is situated well and nicely fitted out. If you stay there be very careful when entering the bathroom and do not expect any friendly service. Room service only emptied the bin full of bloody tissues. No refill of coffee, bed making or basic care.
