friendly staff… the hotel is on top of a pub and the last behind the bar actually made us free coffees when we were checking out, which was very much appreciated

The hotel has been nicely renovated while keeping some character touches. It's near the station which is the start of a picturesque path along the river to the shopping centre. The pub food in the evening is good.
