Mande un correo avisando que llegaríamos con un perro, el lugar es pet friendly, sin embargo jamas respondieron el mail, al llegar nos cobraron extra por el perro, nadie corroboro la información del extra ni nada, 300 pesos extras, sin información de tener realmente que pagarlos por parte de nadie! Creo que la recepcionista nos robo esos 300 pesos por que no había manera de corroborarlo!

En el baño no había ni shampoo ni jabón. Las camas son viejas y las sábanas estaban polvorientas. El hotel está en la zona de clubes nocturnos y había muchísimo ruido. La dirección que aparece en expedia es otra lo que te hace pensar que está a buena distancia del centro. Esta compañía tiene dos hoteles y las fotos que tienen en el website es del otro hotel! El cual es más bonito. Lo sé porque ahí nos mandaron a desayunar. Si hacen reservación aquí, hágalo como último recurso ya que te cobran por adelantado y no es reembolsable.

Don't stay here!

Read the reviews and DON'T stay here. Two bars are right below the hotel and both nights we stayed there were yelling drunks as late as 3:00 a.m. in the street--I had to take a sleeping pill to get some rest. Hotel does not look like pictures, it is VERY dated. Shower was awful and bathroom fixtures and glass very dirty. Exhaust fan from bathroom blows right into the room. Balcony door facing street has no screen and a big gap under it which lets in noise and mosquitos. This hotel has two different buildings (ours was on Calle 12), other one looked a bit better from the outside. Dirty food dishes on reception desk and also in the sitting area outside our room. Staff was less than friendly with people laying around on the couches in the entrance. Bed was comfortable (however I took a sleeping pill both nights so who knows...) and it is very conveniently located, but spend a few extra $ and stay somewhere else.

Un hotel muy céntrico con las comodidades básicas. Atención muy amable del personal. Las instalaciones están un poco deterioradas pero la limpieza es buena en términos generales. Las toallas son muy ásperas, como si no les pusieran suavizante. Una muy buena opción para descansar, a unos pasos de restaurantes, museos y el malecón. Excelente para el viajero poco exigente con presupuesto limitado.

Hotel sin alberca pese a decir que la tiene, esta se encuentra en otro edificio que está a tres cuadras, sin embargo dicha alberca es demasiado pequeña parece jacuzzi, lo que no permite disfrutarla pues son muchas personas en tan poco espacio considerando que es para dos hoteles. En la habitación no puedes descansar todo el día y noche hay ruido y personas gritando, no disfrute para nada mi estancia. Muy decepcionante. No lo recomiendo si tu deseo es disfrutar tu estancia y descansar.

Necesito por favor que me hagan un reembolso de esta reservación. Llegamos y el vuarto tenia una cucaracha. Nos cambiaron a otro y debajo de la almohada habia gusanos. Tuvimos que ir en busca de hotel a las 2 am. Pedimos inmediatamente el rembolso y nos dijeron que si que pasaramos por el al día siguiente. Hablamos y nos dijeron que no lo tenian. Fueron muy groseros. Al dia de hoy no me han contactado. Necesito que por favor expedia me apoye y me genere este reembolso cuanto antes. Realmente recomiendo no tener este hotel dentro de sus opciones. Quedo pendiente, gracias.

Good room, location but bad wifi

Note that there are two Maya Ah Kim Pech hotels. Google maps only shows one - the one you are not registered with. Your hotel is on 12 st. Check the address against the map. Wifi was terrible. Anywhere in the walled old city is walking distance to the rest of the old city.

Excelente ubicación

La ubicación es magnífica, a cuadra y media de la catedral y dos cuadras de la Puerta de Mar/Baluarte de San Carlos. El precio de la habitación es muy accesible. Lo único en contra es que no tiene estacionamiento y hay que ganar/conservar lugar en la calle, y que hay bares bastante ruidosos a un lado y no te dejan dormir bien hasta la madrugada. Supongo que hay a quien eso le agradará.
