Noise from the stairs is a problem. Bathroom was quite cold. No plug next to the bed for charging.

Dear PeterThank you for taking the time to review your recent stay in the Ardshiel Hotel. Our newly refurbished en-suite bathrooms have been fitted with heated towel rails to allow our guests to control the temperature. I am sorry if the noise of the other guests using the stairs disturbed your sleep. All rooms have a bedside lamp plugged into 1 of the double plug sockets next to the bed, allowing guests to use the 2nd socket for charging, there is also additional sockets around the rooms, fortunately many of our rooms also have the benefit of usb sockets.

Very friendly staff in a location that’s just off the sea front - we could see this from our top floor room. We had a tasty meal in the hotel restaurant.

Great room with really comfy bed, great meal and a great whisky selection. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Campbeltown

A lovely weekend stay.
Posted 19 Nov 2023 on HotelsWe were there as our daughter was moving to the area. Everyone in the Hotel were so friendly and seemed to have a great working relationship between them. Breakfast and dinner were also delicious.

Dear LouisWe take all complaints and negative comments very seriously and always aim to make things right. Our house-keeping team work hard to provide a high standard of cleanliness throughout our guests rooms and public areas. I can only assume that the ‘bugs’ you refer to are the Scottish Midge, I can appreciate that these are a nuisance however it is one of the perks of being in the West Coast of Scotland with milder weather, this makes the midges happy and they don’t hold back on making themselves known to visitors. It is getting around the time of year that they disappear before they come back next season. We have been fortunate to experience slightly higher than average temperatures this year.

Our stay was in the annexe which is along the road a few doors, so not exactly in the hotel building. All good unless it's heavy rain.

Dear William Our basic annex rooms are approx 145 yards from Reception, we do always try to have umbrellas available for guests as we fully appreciate that the sun doesn't always shine in Campbeltown!
