"Small lodgings but had basics we needed. A/C fast and powerful (important as plenty of mosquitoes when we were there). Warm and helpful people at reception and on site. Perfect for our three days in Venice. If not arriving by car work out all your ferry timings, to see if they work for you. Bus service infrequent. Last ferry back from Venice 8.30pm in summer. "

The only drawback is we had the attic apartment which has a (locked) door leading to the apartment below and from there you can hear every single conversion of the occupants and use of the kitchen. "We loved staying here. The doors opening onto the canal were a real treat. I saw reviews complaining about the smell, but we had no issues whatsoever. You are staying on the canal - of course it will smell like water! If you follow the directions you are given to the property, you will not get lost (do not use Google maps, just use the directions you are given). We would recommend this property 100 times over. We genuinely loved it!"

"I was rather concerned about the practice that the access code for the lock is sent out only at 3pm on the arrival day; for travelers without cellular service in Italy that is a worry, but we had wifi on the train, so everything worked out well.
