The reception staff were unfriendly and inexperienced, no manager on duty to resolve an issue with the room provided. Requested an upgrade and 2 separate staff gave complete different costs. The room given was effectively a single room and not acceptable as a double.

We do have fixed rates for our upgrades however as a special case a reduced upgrade rate was offered to you.As you have experienced on this stay, the heritage and Victorian rooms are larger and very well appointed.When you do book through the Marriott Website, we try to upgrade subject to availability.We sincerely hope to welcome you back when you visit London once again.Best regards,Mez

Magnificent, iconic hotel. Room small, but elegant and functional. Great bars. Restaurant was lovely with good quality food, if nothing flash. Restaurant was reasonably priced. Hotel itself expensive, but you’re paying for the location - couldn’t be better for Eurostar - and history.

i was traveling to Paris after the short stay there, the staff helped to store my luggage there for few days before I back from Paris, it really helped as it is just cross the road from St Pancras station.
