We loved everything about the property, it’s a little gem.
The quality of the food was excellent both at breakfast & dinner.
All the staff were extremely helpful & nothing was too much trouble.
We would definitely stay at The Crown & Punchball again.

Shame about the food!!
Posted 19 Jun 2024 on HotelsWe stayed for 3 nights - room was comfortable, shower was excellent - once we worked out how to work it (no instructions - I know what you are thinking - how difficult can it be !!). The heating was on in the middle of June - and we needed it on the first night - so brownie points earned there. The food was not to our liking as my wife suffers dreadfully from IBS - so even the hint of pepper has a disastrous reaction. We had breakfast on the first day - and despite providing a list of foods that provided a problem, my wife had avocado on smoked salmon on toast with poached eggs - which we thought was safe. Unfortunately the eggs were cooked in water with vinegar - with a predictable reaction. I know it is tough these days - but we had let them know that vinegar was a no no. That apart - the smallest cereal bowls I have ever seen and fried eggs that I could pick up as they were so rubbery (presumably air fried ??) - so no would not recommend breakfast. . Nevertheless it did not spoil our stay. Clean towels evert day, coffee and tea replenished everyday with fresh milk and chilled water from a fridge in the hallway

The room was nice but small. The staff was great, and the food very good. However, it was 4 miles to Cambridge and there was nothing else around there, so spent a lot on Ubers.
