Peaceful countryside retreat
Posted 19 Aug 2018Relaxing start to our holiday, in the countryside, away from the tourist trail but within a drive of lots of interesting places to visit. Lovely pool with plenty of sunbeds for all the guests and the owners were happy for people to hang around all day if they wanted to. Very good breakfast with lots of choice.

Wonderful country stay
Posted 6 Jun 2017 on HotelsThe countryside is lovely and peaceful. The owner cooked a delicious dinner with fresh local ingredients. The breakfast buffet and local pastries were incredible. Service was friendly and helpful even though our Italian and their English are minimal.

The building is great--attractive rooms tastefully decorated and large glass walls are well done.
Posted 24 May 2017 on HomeAwayWe felt as though we were imposing on the owners. Though the room was nice, there was no display of hospitality shown. They did not, despite claims, speak much English at all, nor did they seem interested in engaging with us.
This "agrotourism" location was merely a nice room and a pool in the countryside--the grounds are quite limited.

Lovely place

Pros: The decor is very attractive and a lot of work has been put into the garden. There are sun beds and loungers by the pool. The setting is peaceful.
Location: It is about 15 minutes into Castelgirone (pretty town) and about 55 mins to Piazza Armerina (Villa del Casale with amazing mosaics).
We had satnav but without would be difficult to find. Lovely garden, pool and rooms. Host very welcoming. We had a problem with a/c on first night but sorted the next day. The breakfast is great and they provide excellent dinner (cost E35 per head + wine extra c.E20 a bottle but very nice).

Un bell’incontro in un’oasi vicino a Caltagirone
Posted 19 Aug 2018 on Hotels
