It was a place to stay. Staff wasn’t friendly. Was very basic and smelled like it had been smoked in previously.

The receptionist was very friendly and really lovely. The first impression of our room with extra beds and a large terrace was also really good. However, we were unable to lock the door to the terrace, the kettle leaked all over the tray it stood on and then over the floor. It looked as though the bathroom had not been thoroughly cleaned as there were lots of stains and marks beside the sink. Breakfast was good with lots of choice for those who preferred cooked breakfast or continental but the atmosphere and lay out was more “work canteen” then expected from a 4 *establishment. We had to search out cutlery etc as none laid up on our table. Really sad to say that it would never be our first choice again.

This is a lovely hotel in a great position overlooking the beach. It is meant to be dog friendly but other than being allowed in the room itself, we didn’t find it to be. Was told by reception staff that we could take our dog to the roof top bar but when we got there we were turned away. Not allowed at breakfast either and no alternatives provided. We are in reception area.

Good hotel but gym is terrible

This hotel cannot advertise that it has a gym. It was in very poor condition with almost no equipment - and the equipment that is there feels like it will break and injure me. Also, I asked for late check-out the night before my check-out day (and was willing to pay, as is their policy), but was told I had to ask in the morning of the check-out day. This is the first time in years of hotel visits that it hasn’t been possible to request it the night before. It defeats the purpose of a late check-out, which is knowing in advance that you can have a relaxing morning. I suggest they revise this highly unusual policy.
