Downtown calgary had some vagrants and drug addicts hanging around. (Not in front of hotel) which made us feel uncomfortable walking in parts of the city at night.

The room was super clean but toiletries are poor quality. Duvets were very uncomfortable as they crackled all night like paper and were not warm and weird thin border around. We had to call in to get warm blankets in the middle of the night. Queen size bed is more like double bed size. We asked for firm mattress and we were not given firm mattress. It was very uncomfortable all night and the next morning I woke up with sore back. They definitely need to reconsider having good mattresses.
