What a treat to be able to spend a few nights in this beautiful oasis. The minute we arrived. Marco greeted us and The lovely ladies at the desk were welcoming friendly, helpful, professional. Every inch of the property was beautifully maintained and gave us a great sense of being in historic Sicily feeling like royalty . The restaurant which we ate at two nights was a surprise ,Michelin star food, cleverly and tastefully each course was delicious. Wine list was full of beautiful Sicilian wines and a showstopper was having a very special cocktail made right at our table. I have had the good fortune from working so hard my life to stay at many four and five star hotels around the world and this will not disappoint . Our room was so comfortable, tastefully decorated & beautiful I didn’t want to leave the room . The beach was just steps away, and we swam in the beautiful Ionian Sea , the hotel is a destination, (we did go winetasting during the day at Benanti an excellent tour and tasting) hotel definitely worth a stay if you need to relax and want to be pampered -oh, and the swimming pool was magnificent along with serving cocktails and food poolside.

Nestled between the majestic Mount Etna and the splendid Taormina, Castello di San Marco is a baroque jewel by the sea. Dating back to 1689, this princely residence juts out into the infinite blue waters, offering a timeless blend of history, tradition, and Sicilian culture.
🏰 Elegance and Tranquility: The castle’s tranquil exteriors and softly lit interiors create an ideal atmosphere for romantic and relaxing holidays. The 28 elegant suites, nestled in the park surrounding the main building, provide a luxurious retreat.
Fine Dining: Indulge in culinary passion at the ‘Giardino di Pietra’ restaurant. Here, Sicilian cuisine meets gourmet sophistication, with a menu inspired by local flavors and sustainability ethos. Don’t miss the organic vegetable garden tended with ancient methods.
🏊♀️ Swimming Pool and Private Beach: Just 50 meters from the sea, the magnificent swimming pool beckons. Imagine lounging by the water, with the private beach and terrace at your fingertips.
🎾 Tennis and More: Beyond relaxation, enjoy the tennis court, wine lounge with an impressive selection of 250 fine wines, and the Mediterranean park.
The Murabito family, steeped in Sicilian tradition, extends a warm welcome to every guest. At Castello di San Marco, authenticity is the currency, and genuine smiles accompany sincere hospitality. Come experience a stay that transcends mere accommodation—a symphony of emotion and beauty. ☺️

Lovely stay
Posted 29 Apr 2024 on HotelsThe hotel is wonderful, set in beautiful grounds, very close to an enormously long, albeit unguarded and not well-maintained beach.
Convenient for trips to Taormina and Mount Etna, but set on a quiet and secluded area.
The restaurant on site is nice, and the one across the road by the beach is great, with friendly staff, good food and reasonable prices.
