Golden Sands Beachfront Apartment Resort Reviews

Please note that these guests arrived after hours on a Friday night so we didn't get the chance to speak with them. They were not happy about having to take 2 flights of stairs for their 3 night stay, due to our lift which was destroyed in last years cyclone not quite being installed. Had they messaged or called us we could have relocated them to the ground floor but they didn't. Instead, they waited until departure on Monday morning to unload on us and demand a discount. They were unreasonable and even after Carl speaking with them they still gave us a 2 out of 5. The last 11 months have been very difficult for our business and to have these people leave us such a poor, unwarranted review is very disappointing.

Good morning, Thank you for your review. We do service the apartments for stays of more than a week, this is due to our apartments being fully self-contained. In saying that if guests would like fresh towels or toilet rolls during this time we would happily provide these.

Good morning Bravo, We love our quiet beachfront resort. Sorry you felt the beach was further than you thought. If you look at our location on the map we are very close to the sandy shores of Yorkeys Knob Beach (approx 60-80m). We currently do not have the elevator due to the recent devastating Cyclone Jasper and it being flooded (we are waiting on a brand new one to be installed). We have informed all guests about this and everyone is very understanding as it is out of our control. Our apartments are fully self-contained, meaning you will not have a service unless you are staying more than 7 nights (this is advertised) however if our guests need anything during their stay we are happy to provide this. If you had of told us about the sofa bed we could have relocated you as we were completely unaware. A sofabed is still a sofabed it is never going to be as comfortable as a bed, you may have been better booking a 2 bedroom apartment for 3 adults. The same with the washing machine. If we don't know about it, we are unable to fix it. Our reception is closed on the weekends (you arrived on a Friday and we were here to greet you and take you to your apartment) but open Monday - Friday, if we were not sitting in the office we would have been working onsite so just a phone call away. We also live onsite, so happy to assist anytime. Our stunning pool is surrounded by beautiful tropical trees (as per our photos on all websites) and yes they do drop leaves however our pool is cleaned and tested every day and is always sparkling clean (apart from leaves dropping when it is windy). We feel this review is unfair considering all the positive things you mentioned. We are not a hotel open 24/7 but a small, family-operated resort, please reconsider your review.

Hi Amanda, thank you for your feedback. We are yet to get a 3 on Expedia so a little shocked to be honest. The apartment you stayed in has a brand-new bathroom. new kitchen cupboards, a new bed, new bedroom furniture, modern blinds, and fans so we are not sure what you mean by tired. The building itself is undergoing a refresh after the recent flooding and the painting has now been finished. We hope you enjoyed your stay here though. Warm regards, Mandy and Carl
