This was a 1-night stay enroute to another location. We were looking for a pet-friendly hotel with kitchenette. The town is a fishing/hunting type of place. We were not looking for fancy and we didn't get it. The inn is actually a motel, not a hotel. The room definitely needs a face-lift: the carpet is badly stained and the bathroom counter is very very dated. The air conditioner unit was kind of "taped" into place. However, on the plus side, the beds were very comfortable and linens were very nice. I had asked for additional top sheets to cover the bed to protect them from dog hair because my dog sheds a lot and she sleeps on the bed with us. The desk clerk asked us not to allow her to sleep on the bed. I told her that it wasn't going to happen and that the additional top sheets would do well in protecting the rest of the covers from excessive dog hair. The staff were nice and understood.

There were black cobwebs full of dead bugs in the corners of the ceiling. Spiders everywhere, including baby spiders in the bathroom. I killed an earwig in the bathroom and one climbing the wall above my head as I tried to sleep. The tub had constant fruit flies in it. House flies in the room. The toilet hadn’t been cleaned properly for a very long time, built up urine down the sides of it. Every surface was filthy, the tv remote control had caked on dirt and old food on it, there was old food left on the table and outside of microwave, no hot water to even wash my face. There was what I presumed to be old blood on the duvet on the bed. A used toothpick had been left on the floor. It was clearly not vacuumed in a very long time. Crunched up chips and dirt under the bathroom vanity had been left. I have never had such an awful hotel experience in my life. Never stayed in such a dirty room. They have a very bad bug problem and needs professional treatment. I did not fall asleep until about 430am, left at 630am. The evening supervisor was somewhat understanding of the situation, and did agree to how dirty the room was. She also came to clean up a few things, but they should have already been done prior to my arrival. It was still a filthy place to stay and would not recommend it. At one point, I thought about sleeping out in my car. It was absolutely an awful experience

Sorry Grant!Don’t know what experience you had but you should let us know ASAP whenever you’re not feeling great so we can improve and you can enjoy a better experience.We are currently focusing on health of our guests, costing big money installed water softeners, cotton sheets, best papers, etc.Thanks for your time.
