The upgrade chargers were not clarified upfront but were “slided” into the “deposit” and basically felt like a “rip off” at the end. I will avoid Melia chain from now.

The property is a in a great location with friendly staff. However, if it weren’t for the unique architecture I believe this is more of a 4 star experience rather than 5. Overall a good place to stay if you’re visiting Dubai, just don’t expect the luxuries that you would get in other 5 star properties like the Raffles.

ME Dubai hotel is a luxury hotel located in downtown Dubai. The decor is beautiful all around -- lobby, restaurants, and rooms. The customer service was excellent -- everyone was very friendly and checked regularly with us during our stay to make sure everything was ok. There are several restaurants and a wine bar on site and several restaurants across the street at a neighborhood mall. Not really walkable to other places except for other hotels, residential housing, and office buildings. Very nice and clean. I would definitely stay at this hotel when I visit again.
