It was clean and walking distance from 2 subway lines. Staff was very helpful and gave good advice on which activities to do in Busan.

Great hostel in seomyeon

Posted 16 Oct 2016
The hostel is in a good location, it's a bit of a walk to the subway station, but it's not too far and there are a lot of shops, cafes and restaurants on the way, so it's not a boring walk, and from Seomyeon station you get get to anywhere you want (this is the cross section of the two lines). Very nice and helpful English speaking staff. The hostel itself looks nice and in good condition, and the breakfast is great.

very bad experience

If you are planning on staying in a private double room DO NOT bother. I paid 120USD for 2 nights for the 'privilege' of spending time in my room with my wool hat, jacket and gloves on. I explained it's cold and the lady from reception turned my heating on. I left for a walk and came back an hour later to find the room was still freezing. The lady from reception came again and told me my bag must be blocking the temperature sensor so the heater is not warming the room. I moved the bag and sat for a while longer. The lady from reception did come up once more to ask how it was (I was sitting on the floor at this point as the room had underfloor heating). I explained it seems to be getting warmer. Another hour passed by and still the room was very cold I went down but the lady on reception was not there. I called the number and she explained she had gone for dinner (so noone on reception) and that there were no other rooms for me to move to anyway. So, freezing cold rooms. No elevator or lift to the private rooms upstairs (carry heavy luggage up), Only hand towels provided for drying with after showering (similar to very very cheap hostels elsewhere), and No tv in the room. No free water (as per my booking confirmation I was supposed to get water bottles each day). Seriously noone should ever stay here unless you are planning on staying in the dormitories

Just read your comments. We had a full of guest stayed that night and our hostel was full and no other room was available to change. And no one complained with a heating system and it was working well. If you feel seriously cold in winter, I can not help anything because February is cold in Korea. The room was same heating system with other rooms and no other guest complained that it was cold at night. We offered more thick blanket for you and the towel was a normal korean towel size not a small hand towel. And your room was only 2nd floor with stairs. We are a small hostel with only 3 stories building and no elevator in 3 stories building anywhere. I guess you expected like a 5 star hotel but this is a hostel for backpackers. I feel sorry for you not satisfied anything.

Clean, friendly hostel near Seomyeon

Posted 12 Dec 2015 on Hotels
10-15 min walk from Seomyeon, but in a quiet area. It was nice to be so close to a fun part of town. There are tons of places to go a short walk away-anything from tent bars and food stalls to more upscale restaurants. The common areas are very comfortable. The kitchen is on the roof and there is a pleasant seating area on the rooftop patio. Breakfast is the standard toast and eggs. It's great that it goes all the way until 11am. Both hosts speak good English and are super helpful. Our room was very clean and the bathroom was quite large. I would definitely stay again if visiting Busan again.
