Cold & Damp
Posted 22 Oct 2018 on HotelsThe room was cold and felt damp possably nobody been in it for some time once i turned the radiators on it mprooved the bed felt damp too

Posted 18 Oct 2018 on HotelsNot great. Bedroom was tired and not very clean. Mattress must have been 20 years old. Worst nights sleep in years!. Bar was also very noisy / rowdy.

Posted 15 Jul 2013 on HotelsGreat location, just a small pub that thinks it is a gastro pub but isn't. Food marketed as fine however just average pub grub, house wine pretty awful too! Room cost £65, worth probably £35!

Cambridge Countryside
Posted 27 May 2012 on HotelsThe Golden Boar is in a small village not too far from a main road. The landlord and staff were superb. They have very good food in their restaurant with plenty of variety. I used te hotel as a base for exploring the neighbouring area and the friendly staff helped greatly with suggestions. It took me 25 mins to get into Cambridge city centre and it is very close to Newmarket for the racing. I would thoroughly recommend staying here instead of a standard hotel chain. It is well worth the slightly longer commute time for the experience. My room was spotless and comfortable and everything worked , and I was able to come and go as I pleased. Excellent.
