Expensive hotel but they only have Thai Tv service the internet service is limited and when you leave you room all the power gets cut ie no fridge no recharge your phone, this is bad when you go out for the day and come back to your room for a cold drink you put there the day beforr its hot.
Hotel is out of the main town so no restaurant near by expect from the hotel.

Impersonal, Mechanistic "Service"
Posted 8 Mar 2019 on HotelsSimply a Money-Gathering operation. Only designed for those that want to show how "Hi-So" they are! I wouldn't stay there again if they offered me a free room! Everything very Over-Priced and no local services other than in-house services.

Pool freezing cold
Posted 14 Jan 2018 on HotelsWIFI in the room was good. There is no iron or ironing board available. Bed was a bit to firm, pillows to firm. The Safe worked until the last day when staff had to do a force open. Other room safes for my other family members had to have batteries replaced. Checking safe batteries should be part of the checklist for housekeeping. Swimming pool is hidden from the sun and the water was freezing cold. Breakfast was OK, however the bain-maries do not have the flame underneath to keep the food warm, the food goes cold. We attempted to tell the staff about the requirement to keep food warm but they did not understand. The egg chef fries eggs then leaves them in a tray to go cold. We insisted on having eggs cooked on the spot and then put on our plates for immediate eating. Only a few of the staff speak English. I do not recommend Alvarez hotel for non Thai speakers. Hotel is some distance from the main spots of Buriram city and transport is required to go to restaurants. Hotel mini bus is available at reasonable cost. Car park is huge.

large hotel good car park
Posted 14 Mar 2017
Pros: car park
large room
Cons: more professional staff in restaurant
Overall stay was good, large room was comfortable,
good large car park
breakfast was ok, had good egg station for fresh omelettes etc,
Tried evening restaurant once only as some of the menu not available, our food was slow to arrive and the rice arrived 10 minutes after the main food which was cool by then,
when we had nearly finished our main meal staff came and told us that the fried chicken we had ordered more than 30 mins earlier was not available, this was not a good experience so we ate out for the rest of our stay.
