"The room was great! Floors were heated, large bathroom and bedroom. Amazing views out the windows! The facility has two restaurants that are great, the spa is amazing! They give you robes and everyone in the hotel stays in them most of the day. The underground to the theme pools is awesome! This was an amazing place to stay! Right in the middle of old town and Christmas markets!"

"Stayed for two nights. Location is nice with free bus connection to the city center. Service and front desk personell was friendly. Issues: - Property is worn down (except for the remodeled bathrooms). - Cleaning staff entered the room twice while still sleeping - ANTS! Minibar area and desk was clearly invaded by ants and even after complaining at the front desk, no action was taken / no alternative was offered to us (e.g. another room). "Wir wurden überaus freundlich begrüsst und fühlten uns sofort gut aufgenommen. Die Zimmer sind freundlich und haben eine prächtige Aussicht auf Naturns und das Tal. Wir wurden vom Personal auch immer gut beraten wenn wir etwas unternehmen wollten. Beim Essen könnte man sicher noch die eine oder andere Finesse einbringen. Das Angebot mit der 3/4 Pension ist in unseren Augen überteuert. "

"Castel Rundegg is an old fashioned hotel in the very best sense. It is a beautiful building in a most beautiful town, with comfortable public areas and spacious well appointed bedrooms. Those who are looking for discos and fast food options might choose elsewhere, but it does offer superb cuisine, stunning gardens and an old world elegance. It also boasts extensive pool, sauna and spa treatments. We look forward to returning there."

"Good location for Merano 2000 cable car and botanical gardens. It is 3k from Merano centre and while there is a bus taking the car was more convient for us, parking on edge of town. The hotel itself is part of camping hermitage, which seems to be main focus. The hotel could use some re-imagining. For example, removing the net curtains obscuring the great view.
