"When we arrived the woman checking us in (who appears to be the manager/a senior member of staff) did not seem interested in helping us or trying to communicate (as we don't speak Italian). She seemed to take an immediate dislike to us and mostly ignored us/visibly made other staff members deal with us during our stay, was basically very rude. "A modern, thoughtfully designed property on a hilltop overlooking Nuoro. The front desk staff went out of their way to be helpful with a small problem that I had. The rooms were modern and comfortable. One issue that we found everywhere in Sardinia is that the rooms don't have enough electrical outlets, making it a bit of a hassle to charge personal devices. The breakfast was fine in a room with a great view overlooking the town. One plus, during the off-season, is that there are enough travelers for business, so the property offers the full range of services. At other properties in the off-season, the lack of guests can result in limited services. Also, excellent parking. Definitely recommend for car travelers. Because it is located 2 km from the city center, it may be a hassle for persons who don't have a car, although there is good municipal bus service accessible about a five minute walk distant."

"What a fantastic place is Sas Abbilas. A pearl we happened to find for our work in the surrounding. Beautiful nature, the woods and the little river. A fantastic family that takes care of you with tasty (for us vegetarian) food and lots willingness to make your stay a happy one. We will definitely come back!"

Nice Hotel

"Very nice traditional hotel with superb views over Bitti and the mountains. Restaurant good quality and only real restaurant in Bitti (walking distance). Bitti itself is a pleasant, but unremarkable village with lots of interesting and steep back streets. Good stop over for a few days if exploring Sardinia "

"Great Location central in a quiet country setting. Everything North East West within a 60 to 90 minute Drive. Awesome base camp to return to after a busy day. Mauro was always available to make us breakfast when we wanted or if we changed plans. Awesome Sunrise and sunset!"
