"Great location, 20 minutes from Old Town, 10 minutes from Universitate metro, but on a busy road so you may want to keep the windows shut. Fortunately there is efficient air conditioning (controlled by a remote). Clean, comfortable, with a small kitchenette (fridge, sink, microwave, kettle). I kept the blinds closed against the heat and the workmen outside, and then found the lighting a little dim. Brighter bulbs and/or a bedside light would be welcome."

"I have stayed here a few times and like it a lot. It’s v close to Piata romana. Small problems are: the internet is patchy. It’ll sometimes drop for no reason, and won’t appear on WiFi for a little while. Secondly, I’m uncertain that they change the door pass code. I usually ask for the bedroom key so that I can lock it at night and also when I go out. "

"Sadly the management team was selectively unresponsive in modifying our reservation due to a sudden death in the family. The property was nice, and in a great location, but the Rembrandt front desk has very little authority over Windmill, which appears to be run by managers behind the curtain. I must say the hotels.com team was terrific in trying to help modify our reservation."

Unfortunately by coincidence our upgrade then suffered a burst pipe so George upgraded us again to the property next door! Both apartments were lovely regardless! "This hotel is located down a quiet side street, close to the old town. The room (cosy urban)was basic with the smallest windows ever, but it had all we needed for a city break when we didn’t intend to be in the room very much. I was very disappointed as I had emailed the hotel in advance to ask if they could arrange anything for my husbands birthday. I also asked if there was any room upgrades available to purchase.
