Convenient location, 1 minute from metro, trams and buses. A little noisy with traffic at the front of the hotel. Room was fine, just quite stuffy and dry air. Could use a bit of TLC. Didn't use the dining or other facilities so can't comment on those. Sauna was out of action when we were staying.

The Hotel had kept some of its historical past, decor was tasteful and very pleasing to the eye. Staff were efficient, friendly and helpful, breakfast buffet was well presented and had a brilliant selection of food on offer. Staff at reception very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They gave us detailed instructions about how to get from A to B by metro, by train and by bus. The room was large and modern. The windows opened and we like that. The air conditioning can be easily controlled by the guest. The small fridge was empty, very convenient for us to put our own things.

The property is undergoing renovation (I don’t recall being informed) this resulted in two gripes on my part. 1. The ‘Spa’ area was closed. 2. We (The British) were assigned rooms on the top floors the old dated rooms with chipped baths and tired grubby carpets while or so it appeared our European friends got the new rooms on the lower refurbished floors. Do we pay less ? Or are we just not bothered enough to complain when a friend did complain he was told fully booked which we knew to be untrue but how do you prove that ?!
