A very good hotel experience that has the potential to be a great one with a few minor changes.
The hotel is conveniently located and easily walkable from Midi Station, and onwards to the city centre and major landmarks in Brussels. Staff at the reception desk are friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. I stayed in Room 54, which was a double room with a view on the top floor. The room itself is light, airy and well layed out. The bed is supremely comfortable, with it being a proper double bed and not just too singles stuck together. It is also in easy reach of several power sockets dotted around the room. The eco-friendly credentials of the hotel are really shown in the room through several small touches, such as the multi-use wooden crates and eco-friendly water purification jug.
The bathroom is well sized, with a walk-in shower and large sink stocked with hand wash, body lotion and body wash. My one complaint for the bathroom would be the terrible water pressure of the shower, made worse by the small shower head. To give the benefit of the doubt, however, this may not be entirely within the hotel's control.
I got good sleep, although another complaint would be the room's temperature control, which would go back to a default of 20°c no matter what was put. This made the room slightly colder than I would have liked. If it was possible to change the settings permanently, it would have been nice to have Instructions on how to do this.
Overall, a fantastic hotel experience.

My partner and I would definitely recommend this property to anyone staying in the area. It was in good proximity to local transit, restaurants, sightseeing, and shopping. Although we did not eat at the restaurant at the ground level, the food and service looked great.

Stayed for one night with my 12 year old daughter, and a fabulous room in the penthouse! Fabulous view from the 3 windows which were able to open for fresh air, or there was air conditioning if needed. Lovely qwerky bathroom with no door was funny, but it worked, as did the industrial type look within the room and hotel. What was excellent was the mattress....wow it was like sleeping on a marshmallow and if I could have bought it home with me I would have. A brilliant stay, great location within walking distance of grand palace and the centre, great checkout of midday too. Would recommend and would stay again. Thankyou.

Conveniently located. Easy access to two train stations and downtown area. Lots of food options near by including the restaurant located at the hotel. Their breakfast options where delightful and did not disappoint. Our room was quiet and walls were thick where we couldn’t hear everything around us. Staff were respectful. There was a safe in the room and all our stuff was respected. Would definitely recommend staying here, and I would book here again.

Hotel Gambino is well kept and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Save the planet, drink beer is a fabulous campaign. I loved getting my daily beer in exchange of cleaning my room for the day. The rooms are very small, but comfortable. The hotel is steps away from the metro station where you can take a train to anywhere you want to go in the city and staff can always give you guidance. Just outside the hotel, there is a little Spanish market and restaurant. Across the street there is a good variety of restaurants and bars to choose from if you are hungry. Augustiner has a restaurant right there and there is a small brewery that has one type of beer! It’s super cute and the beer is very good. We really loved our stay at Hotel Gambino and would definitely stay there again.
