Quiet, relaxing, escape from Canberra
Posted 16 Feb 2018
Pros: The amazing quietness, friendly proprietors, fresh eggs and real milk, the different themed rooms, the sights, etc etc.......
Cons: For us, if anything, it would be miniscule and not worth mentioning.
Location: Visit Brogo dam for kayaking, Bega and Tilba for cheese/fine dining, Bermagui, Merimbula/Pambula for fresh fish.
Booked through Expedia, sight unseen, we were pleasantly surprised. Warmly greeted on arrival by Corinne (and a couple of rascally Furkids), we were shown the premises and given a choice of rooms with a theme. We took "Africa" and were not disappointed. We enjoyed every minute of our stay!
If you expect Glass and Marble with gold rimmed toilet seats, don't bother going. On the other hand, if you need to switch off, enjoy quiet, farm stay with fresh eggs and milk, yet still be close to the beach and cities, this is the place for you!
We will be back.

Wonderful place to stay
Posted 28 Sep 2017 on WotifA lush hideaway in the Brogo hills.
The owners could not have tried harder to look after me and my son.
Fresh farm eggs and milk, a well stocked guest's kitchen and a large interesting and comfortable room.
What else could one want.
My son wants to come back.
Who wouldn't.
A wonderful place to stay.

Great peaceful farmstay
Posted 13 Sep 2016 on Lastminute
Pros: Quirky theming of rooms. Log fire. General facilities. Peaceful ambience. Friendly staff.
Cons: A privacy screen for the toilet would be appreciated
Location: It really is in the middle of nowhere with no activities nearby. The grounds appeared to have a good walking tracks.
We were lucky that there were no other guests at the time ... we had the entire space to ourselves. The layout provides 4 separate sleeping areas each with ensuites, and shared kitchen, lounge (with log fire), and reading area. These were all very comfortable, but not sure if I would have enjoyed it so much if we had had to share it with strangers! I wish we had had time to enjoy more of the grounds. The lounge has a variety of board games for guests to use.

Great friendly farm stay
Posted 11 Jan 2016 on WotifWhat a fabulous find. We felt at home instantly. Corrine our host was very friendly and welcoming and the surrounding bush made for a tranquil stay. Why stay in a shabby motel when for the same price you can stay in a plush room in the middle of the trees and rolling green pasture?

Far from attractions
Posted 31 Dec 2014Stayed 2 nights in Thai themed room. We felt some suffocation due to Jute lining on the wall. Over priced for its location and comfort.

The Thailand room is much loved by our guests. it gives the feeling of being in a gorgeous jute hut. We pride ourselves on comfort levels in our guest house, in terms of fantastic beds and mattresses, sheets and towel quality, sound proofing between rooms, and electric blankets. If guests have any problem with the Thailand room, we have 3 other beautiful rooms to choose from - India, Africa and Middle East - no jute on walls there.
