Stated 9pm close time on booking page but got there & was told they shut at 8:30pm yet sign on the door also said 9pm I was lucky someone was still there Room had no tv or ensuit which for $130 pr night would at least have a tv Was very disappointed with size of room, location, access to room & just general atmosphere of the whole motel.

Dear Michael,We feel sad an sorry that that you were unhappy with our facilities. I think...there was a mis-communication when you have arrived. We didn't say we shut at 8:30pm. Yes we close at 9pm (Mon-Sat, 7pm Sun).And it's clearly described on the booking site that room is private but toilet/shower are shared (not ensuite) and no tv, but free wifi. On that day, all other accommodation in the city area, the price was over 200 (yes, it's ensuite). Even backpackers are charging 65-95/night for 6-8 people dorm. Majority of our guests are happy with the price as accommodation in Brisbane city is really expensive.Wish you all the best and have a great day!Kind regards,

This property was more like a rabbit warren boarding house. There was NO tv as pictured. Shared facilities. Be aware a bond is taken to ensure no damage to the property.

Dear Dianne,You booked a room for your son Mitchell, when you came here with your son for check-in, you told Us that every accommodation is so expensive, and Kookaburra inn was a reasonable with private room. You knew that it was a hostel type accommodation with shared shower/toilet/kitchen when you booked for your son. Mitchell told Us that he enjoyed staying at our Kookaburra Inn. I don't think this is nice to write a review like this where yourself did not stay and things that you already knew. We have lots of good things.., inc individual bar fridge, aircon/heater unit, free strong wifi etc. Once you start looking negative things, you will not be satisfied, and should stay at the hotel quality accommodation. And also lot of places (it's normal) are taking security deposit and we have advertised, so guests knows when they book a room.Hope you can find a accommodation that suits you more in future!Thank you!
