We did not like the room the air conditioner did not cool and we killed 2 roaches. We will not return

The parking lot wraps around the building, nice for when towing a trailer but also not enough parking for larger vehicles/trucks/semis (common in Texas). Check in was easy & efficient, clean front lobby and parking lot which also was nice and brightly lit. However when we got to our room, it was a different story. Bedspread was visibly dirty, like someone walked on it & then closer inspection revealed some red/brown blood like spots. Flipped the comforter back and it was very obvious blood spots & hand like print marks. Pillowcase also had 2 long, dark hairs on it. Spoke with front desk & he was VERY accommodating, brought clean linens & helped remake the bed. It is a VERY no frills, just stay for the night, kind of place. Pool looked great, didn't swim (too late at night) but it didn't smell heavily of cholorine & was clean. We did NOT hear the freeway at all, or other people in the rooms around us but there was a hallway door that by 0530, people couldn't resist letting it slam shut time & time again. So we were awaken earlier than planned, that door needs fixed on 2nd floor breezeway by the elevator (we were 3 rooms away from that hall door so not immediately adjacent/shared wall. It needs a tension rod thingy & not allowed to slam shut on its own.I couldn't fathom the other rooms noise!) So if the hotel changes its linen changing practices & fixes the door, I'd be using them again (as we go to Brenham at least 2x a year) & they would have gotten a higher rating overall.

However, I sincerely apologize for the condition of the bedspread and pillowcase; that is not the standard we aim for, and your comments will be taken seriously as we improve our housekeeping practices. Super clean motel. Spacious rooms. Comfortable beds with good fluffy linens. Lots of TV channels. Dark rooms with black out shades. Will definitely stay again.

Look it’s a Motel 6… however things could have been much better.. Like no stains on bed sheets, and towels, being charged for early check in and for unsecured parking. To add, the rooms also lacked any furnishings. No lamps anywhere in sight. Instead you’re relegated to using the overhead lights which are abusive to the eyes. There were no arm chairs in the room either, apart from one pitiful desk chair that didn’t serve much purpose as the desk was a foot deep and pressed against the TV. To add, if you want to iron your clothes or steam a dress you’d be pressed to find an iron in the room as well. Lastly be sure to bring your own hair dryer as there isn’t one provided for you as there is in most hotels, even Motel 6’s. One more point, I like to use the bathroom in my hotel room, without having to look at a roach sized hole in the wall and letting my imagination run wild.
