"Eric & Sharon were lovely. They have built an incredible property. The villas are absolutely perfect. We truly enjoyed learning about all of the plants and animals on their property. They have two beautiful dogs, 6 cats, and a resident sloth named Pearl. Breakfast is delicious. The "secret path" to the beach is delightful. Several of Eric's recommendations were spot on! Make sure to go to Lidia's restaurant. (Yellow curry shrimp was primo!) And definitely ask about an outing with Alex. You will...

"This property is a doorway to nature's paradise. Being set in jungle with an open living theme there is nothing to not love about Congo bongo. The cry of howler monkeys at 4am followed by the jungle waking up to the evening cry of the toucan nature is all around. The ambience is complimented by the warmth and friendliness of the people who call this place home."

"Maybe this property better fits younger people. We are in our late 60's and 70's and we need more space and better accomadations. And it was too far from the ocean."

"Great boutique hotel, walking distance to all the amenities Puerto Viejo has to offer. We had a bungalow with our own pool which was fabulous. Service was excellent, as was breakfast which was included. My only complaint...two cappuccinos cost $18 CAD...ridiculous..."

Perfect for a honeymoon!

"We had a wonderful time during our stay here - it was a great place for our honeymoon and we would highly recommend it to anyone else looking for a romantic spot with some privacy and also accessible to all that Puerto Viejo has to offer. The complimentary breakfast provided went above and beyond expectations. Extra shout out to all of the employees who were very helpful and provided great service throughout our stay :) "

"Beautiful jungle atmosphere. Wildlife animals observed on the property. Great drinks at the bar. Breakfast buffet and dinner was delicious. Walking distance to the beach and other restaurants. The family cabin had a wonderful patio and hammocks. I would’ve preferred adults only. It was almost impossible to be in the swimming area near the wet bar with so many kids present. Most of the vendors on the beach only accepted colones. I would suggest you get money exchanged from the airport or the national bank in Costa Rica ATM does colones. Tips are accepted for room service and meals. Laundry was outstanding! We received our laundry same day service. "

Make sure to go to Lidia's restaurant. (Yellow curry shrimp was primo!) And definitely ask about an outing with Alex. You will learn all about his farm, see many animals, and kayak to the beach. It was our favorite outing! Thank you Eric and Sharon. We will definitely return!"
