I got lost because there is apparently more than one location in Portugal with the same address. The main issue is that I showed up after 7:00 and no one would respond to the doorbell and my knocking on the door. This place is in the middle of nowhere and no signage other than non lighted small signage. So I spent three hours looking for the place, no one would let me in and so I expect a full refund. It’s also very dangerous to drive in that area at night as there is no street lights, tiny roads and pitch black. Worst experience of my life and never even stayed there. Had to get another hotel room which was a challenge at 10 PM!

Hello, Mr. Jerry,Regarding your comment, we cannot help but respond as we find it unfair.The address "Largo da Capela" may exist in various locations in our country, but in Meixedo, Bragança, there certainly isn't any other.There is no problem with arriving after 7:30 PM. The problem will exist if when guests do not answer any of the calls we consistently attempted to make to your number. Our face-to-face check-in time, is until 7:30 PM, and as that time approaches, we specifically call to inquire if you need help to arrive, and explain how you can enter our house after that time. We tried to call without success and sent a written message through Expedia, where we provided our contact information (which you can verify in your reservation). In addition to not answering, you also did not call us back on the number provided on the Expedia website, our page, or in the message we sent you.After that time, we do not have any of our staff inside the house. Only guests remain. The check-in policies, are clearly stated on our Expedia page.As for the location of the house, being a rural tourism home, it is situated in the Montesinho Park. It is not possible to illuminate rural and mountain roads, as evident.We regret that you did not arrive on time, nor did you call us, to be able to enjoy our house, but it was not certainly, due to any fault on our part.Best regards.
