Amazing! owners are really nice people who built the hotel themselves over the years, great service, great location. Loved everything about it! No A/C otherwise perfect, especially the breakfast.

Quiet and relaxing
The hostess of the Hotel Bourtange is the best. She is warm and cordial. The breakfasts were delicious with a variety of food offered. The grounds of the hotel are spacious and enjoyable. When weather permits it is nice to sit on patio and enjoy the surroundings.

Wir hatten für 3 Personen eine Kammer unterm Dach. Dort standen 4 Betten, 1 Tisch, 4 Stühle und 1 Schrank. 2 Dachbalken gingen schräg über je einem Bett her. Die Matratzen waren zu weich. 3-Sterne-Komfort sieht für mich anders aus und als Hotel konnte man dieses alte Gebäude (vermutlich früher mal ein Bauernhaus) nun wirklich nicht bezeichnen, bestenfalls als "Frühstückspension". Das Frühstück war in Ordnung und die Terrasse und der Garten waren ganz nett ansonsten Museums-Charakter. Wir verbuchen den 2-Nächte-Aufenthalt als Erfahrung.

Recommended
We made a quick stop on our road trip from Sweden to Normandie and this B&B suited us fine. Located fairly close to the highway, very nice hostess, clean room, good breakfast buffet and good wifi. The only negative was that the room stayed quite hot all night but it had been over 30°C during the day.

Såg tyvärr inte mycket ut från vägen, men när vi kom in mycket bra med trevlig dam som tog hand om oss.

Zelden zo geschoffeerd door een hotelier. Alleen de matrassen waren goed. Dekbed te dik voor het seizoen. Geen luchtverversing op de kamer. Zeer, zeer gehorig. Hele nacht de hoestbuien van de buren mogen aanhoren. Karig ontbijt. Kamer was niet gereed bij aankomst. Geen uitzicht op de tuin zoals in de reservering stond. Onenigheid over gehad over het in de tuin zitten, alla, afspraken gemaakt en vervolgens door de hotelier zeer wantrouwend weer benaderd en behandeld alsof ik een niet te vertrouwen mens ben. Zeer schofferend.

A farmhouse is converted to a small hotel with a very pleasant large garden surrounding it. The place is quiet and we (couple, 60 years of age) enjoyed the pleasant room for breakfast and the lounge. There is a bar for a drink or two/more in the evening. Our hotelroom was basic but satisfied our wishes and the bed was simply good. The breakfast was served on our table and had everything we needed to get going. The WiFi did not meet our expectation - I mentioned that criticism.
