It was closed when I arrived. CLOSED - FERMÉ.
I have now been refunded, so this is GREAT-BUT Expedia have written to me in such a way that places the blame at my door.
Just incredible.
Not once did they ask if I managed to find a room that might.
Expedia website and App make it impossible to talk to a human to deal with a serious issue in real time. The chat bot is utterly useless and froze - locking me out for a while.

Hotel was in a Good location. The bedroom was clean and a good size. The decor was interesting and no one can deny there was always something to look at, we enjoyed looking at the items and “animals” certainly gave us lots to talk about. The staff were very friendly and always in hand. Breakfast was good, coffee good, croissants were great.

Posted 16 Apr 2018 on HotelsThe Auberge de France is a pleasant hotel in need of a bit of TLC. The staff are very pleasant but for the price it does need a facelift. There's a strong smell of cigarette smoke in some corridors (though not in the rooms). Everything looks dated. The Wifi was very weak. If you're tall make sure you get a double bed, otherwise you may touch the head and foot boards.

Dated and smoky
Posted 11 Apr 2018The check-in was smooth and the landlady courteous and helpful when there was a problem. The breakfast was good. The rooms were large and the bed comfortable. The atmosphere is rustic and quaint like something from early to mid 20th century - woodland bric a brac and stuffed weasels and the like everywhere. The reason I wouldn't recommend it to friends is the smell of smoke, despite No Smoking signs everywhere. The landlady was kind enough to give us a new room but 100 yrs of smoking and a present-day smoking lounge gave it this notable feature.

Super goed gelegen, zeer vriendelijk personeel, aangename familiale sfeer en een uitstekende keuken! De filet pur is de beste die ik in jaren gegeten heb.
Een lekker ontbijt en een aangename babbel met de uitbaatster. Meer moet dat voor mij niet zijn.
